I have a female Bombay named Cheyanne that for some reason likes to drop any real fur toys in her water dish. She tends to do this at night while we are sleeping. The colors in the these highly colored toys will sometimes bleed their colors into the water overnight. We take them out of the water in the morning and set them on the sink to dry during the day. This can be kind of frustrating and messy, but she loves these real fur toys so much! The coloring and the colored water will not harm your cat, it is no more harmful than the colors used in cat food. Please be assured that this situation is unusual and will pose no problem with all other cats in normal play, your cat will not have a colored mouth!
